Entrepreneurship Programs

Starter Company Plus

If you’ve got a great idea for a new or existing business – and the entrepreneurial drive to see it through, Starter Company Plus is here to help you with your company and provide the invaluable guidance of business professionals. Niagara Falls Small Business Enterprise Centre is a provider of Starter Company Plus, which is an Ontario government program that provides Ontario residents, over the age of 18 and not attending school full time, with the resources and knowledge they need to start, grow or purchase their own business.

As a Starter Company Plus entrepreneur you will get:

  • One-on-one guidance from a Small Business Enterprise Centre advisor.
  • Mentoring with a local successful entrepreneur.
  • Access to business workshops on topics ranging from writing a business plan and budgeting, to executing a marketing campaign.
  • Chance to compete for a micro grant, up to $5000.

Intake is currently closed for the program. You can fill out an Intake Form and email the form to the Small Business Enterprise Centre, and we will contact you if the program re-opens for an additional cohort. Futurpreneur

Futurpreneur Canada has been fuelling the entrepreneurial passions of Canada’s young enterprise for nearly two decades. We are the only national, non-profit organization that provides financing, mentoring and support tools to aspiring business owners aged 18-39. Futurpreneur Canada delivers programs coast-to-coast through a national network of nearly 250 community partners and more than 2,800 dedicated volunteer mentors. We look at character, not collateral, when providing futurpreneurs with pre-launch coaching, business resources, low-interest financing, and industry-leading mentoring. Our internationally recognized mentoring program hand matches young entrepreneurs with a business expert from a network of volunteer mentors.

Summer Company

Are you a student looking to start a summer business? The Niagara Falls Small Business Enterprise Centre is a provider of the Government of Ontario’s Summer Company Program. This is a great chance to develop your entrepreneurial skills and make money at the same time.

If you are between 15 and 29 years of age and going back to school in the fall you can be eligible to receive hands-on mentoring AND up to $3,000 towards your business!
