E.S. Fox marks 30 years supporting Ontario Nuclear Power
The Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI) recognized E.S. Fox Limited for supporting the nuclear industry for over 30 years. The iconic Niagara Falls fabricator brings an integrative approach, which is central to its long-standing relationship with the nuclear program in Ontario. E.S. Fox is fabricating thermal insulation cabinets for Ontario Power Generation’s Darlington Refurbishment project, Canada’s largest clean energy project that supports 14,000 jobs across Ontario. These cabinets will protect the refurbished reactor’s concrete walls and feeder header frames from excess temperatures and will reduce the load on the reactor vault cooling system.
Currently, E.S. Fox is supplying the cabinets in two massive orders: 654 carbon steel support frames and 3,792 stainless steel panels. The 10-year, $12.8 billion refurbishment is progressing on time and budget and will ensure a safe, clean and reliable energy supply for the next 30 years. Established in 1934, E.S. Fox is headquartered in Niagara Falls and maintains full-service regional offices across the province. With over 700 workers, E.S. Fox’s wide-ranging integration enables staff to interact more readily with a full range of client’s needs. From fabrication to construction to technical services and engineers, companies in Ontario turn to E.S. Fox for all types of heavy industry and institutional construction.Back to articles
